  2. Ooh you went with some classic choices today! I don’t know any of these but the covers convey a dreamy like quality. So they probably would make great fantasty movies.

    • Thanks! Check them out – you won’t regret it! They are all wonderful and would make fantastic movies! Glad you stopped by to comment. 🙂

      God bless, Anne Marie 🙂

  3. Hi Anne Marie,
Of the five books you talk about here I have only read the two by Tolkien. I agree with you totally about the Peter Jackson, Hobbit. I felt that all the self indulgent dangers that were kept at bay (just!) in The Lord of the Rings completely ran amok in the Hobbit. That is a film that waits to be made. I agree with you about Jemima Catlin’s art by the way. She really offers her talent to serve the story.
On The Silmarillion, my fear is that no one will have the courage to let Tolkien’s breathtaking spiritual vision really speak for itself. Hollywood serves Mammon first and I don’t see that changing soon. But sometimes things slip through so who knows!
God bless you in this venture!

    • Hi! Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment! I’m having fun here. 🙂 Sadly only too true about LOTR vs the so-called Hobbbit. I am listening to the FOTR soundtrack in the car for the millionth time and thinking how wonderful it is, how much it adds to the movie, and how inspiring it is. You could barely even hear the music in the the more recent films over all the meaningless action. A great shame. You may also enjoy reading The Fionavar Tapestry. Let me know if you do and what you think. He was involved in with editing The Silmarillion I think.

Namarie, God bless, Anne Marie 🙂
